Beginning Open

Beginning Open teaches the basic Open level Obedience exercises. The exercises include

1. heel free and figure 8
2. drop on recall
3. retrieve on the flat
4. retrieve over the high jump
5. broad jump
6. out of sight long stays

The instructor works with each student at the student's level.

Prerequisites: Dogs must have earned the Companion Dog (CD) title or have the instructor's permission. All NDTC classes require proof of current rabies vaccination for dogs age six months or older.

Competition Open

This ongoing drop-in class is for dogs and handlers who are training for the Companion Dog Excellent (CDX) title. Teams work on their own or with the help of a facilitator to refine their performance in preparation for showing in the AKC Open Obedience class.

Prerequisites: Teams must have knowledge of the basic Open exercises and the ability to work in a self-directed, self-paced environment. All NDTC classes require proof of current rabies vaccination for dogs age six months or older.

Rally Class
Nola, Marina, and Faye will again be holding rally class after the holidays on Friday evenings at 7. Mark the dates below on your calendar. The class is conducted on a drop-in basis. Let Nola know if you plan to attend.
